Museums and Galleries Month was the UK-wide celebration of museums and galleries in May. MGM2008 has now come to an end - details of future plans and the exciting things happening for Museums at Night 2009 appear below.
Museums and Galleries Month was organised by The Campaign for Museums,
a registered charity, with support from Museums Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) through its Renaissance programme and Arts Council England.
In 2008 three MGM Commendations went to Keats House and the London Metropolitan Archives; the Sainsbury Centre, UEA and Weston Park, Sheffield Museums and Galleries - Mansfield Museum were runners up.
