The Art Fund Prize

The Museum Prize Trust has announced details of this year’s greatest museum prize – now The Art Fund Prize (formerly the Gulbenkian Prize). £100,000 will be awarded to the museum or gallery for a project completed in 2006/7. The award will be presented during Museums and Galleries Month 2008. The winner in May 2007 was Pallant House Gallery in Chichester.

The Art Fund Prize is open to all registered/accredited museums and galleries in the UK whatever the nature of their collections.

Sue MacGregor CBE, well-known broadcaster, will chair the panel of judges. The closing date for applications is 2nd November 2008. More information at www.artfundprize.org.uk.
